Youth Work Camp

Along with their chaperones, Tina Mackie, Bob David and John Leuders, twelve high school youth are in Montgomery, West Virginia this week where they will be assisting in home repair projects for elderly, disabled and disadvantaged people in the area.
News from the crew: Tina Mackie checked in to say that it is incredibly beautiful and hot where they are. Their projects include building a wheel chair ramp; roofing; porch repair; and interior & exterior painting. She says the youth are having a great time and all feel that the projects are ones they can accomplish!
A typical days includes: "God Sightings", daily devotions, and inspirational/interactive worship programs. The daily schedule will look something like this:
6:45 a.m. Rise and shine!
7:00 a.m. Breakfast and gather supplies for the day
8:00 a.m. Morning program
8:30 a.m. Leave for project sites and serve at project locations
3:30 p.m. Return to lodging site for clean-up and free time
5:00 p.m. Dinner
7:30 p.m. Evening program, youth group devotions, free time, prep for bed
11:00 p.m. Lights out
